On October 17 the Kindergarten & 1st grade students had “Oceans of Fun” at the MES Music Concert. The students demonstrated several activities and songs that we use in Music class. They traveled on “Highway No. 1” of Australia, used instruments and hula hoops in “Going Over the Sea,” used a parachute for “Three Times Around Went Our Little Ship,” had happy and nervous boats that traveled out into the ocean storm in “William Tell Overture,” used streamers to represent fish in “Ten Fish in the Sea,” shook off sand with egg shakers in “Sandy, Sandy, Sand,” and invited a family member or friend to join in dancing the finale, “Wipe Out!” The students really showcased their talents and shared some of the fun things we do in Music class. Way to go Kindergarten & 1st grade!
