Our Feature Classroom of the week (January 14-20)  is Video Production and Project Management.

The course description for video production is:  Students will record, plan, and edit various events and assignments during the school year for school activities and the community. Some productions will be made available to students, parents, and the community for keepsake. Members of the class will be required to do some out-of-class filming.  Some of the videos will be shown on Blue Valley TV, Channel 3.”  The course description for project management is:  “Project Management is a second year course for the following classes: Video Production and Digital Media Design & Production. The focus of the course will be on managing the large projects that are created in these classes. Students will be the editors/lead graphic designers/lead videographers, and will utilize their advanced skills to broaden the scope of projects completed. Students will be introduced to management decision making policies and procedures throughout the year.”

The teacher that teaches this class is Mrs. Karen Hynek. Some of their current class projects include:  “Highlights From The Fall”, “Our House 2018”, “Giving Tuesday”, “Soft Skill PSA”, “Highlights For the Winter”, “Senior Video’s for 2019”, and the “Marysville UP Depot Preservation Society.”  Mrs. Hynek says this is a very fast paced class that is holds the students interest.  The class enjoys preserving memories from Marysville Junior/Senior High School every day.  Her favorite thing about the class is “watching students grow in video production and creating videos that they are extremely proud of.”
