The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) events are competitive events in which members are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills, and career preparation. STAR Events offer individual skill development and application of learning. The students can enter in events like Career Investigation, Culinary Arts, Entrepreneurship, Fashion Design, Focus on Children, Leadership, and Teach and Train.
Three groups went to the district competition. The first group was Elise Rose and Sydney Fisher. They competed in Life Event Planning and Junior Division, and they received 1st place at district and Silver at state. The next competitor was Samantha Bartels. She competed in Illustrated Talk and she received a gold at district. Our third group was Grace Fredrickson, Aubrey Barton, and Elise Rose. They competed in Sports Nutrition and received 3rd Place at district.
