Wednesday

HS Band - Mission Valley Marching Band Festival @ Mission Valley - Depart - 8am.  MJSHS PT Conferences - 5 - 8:30pm.  (Parents should have scheduled meeting time.)

The CTSO Trick-or-Treat So Others Can Eat community service project will be on Monday, October 28. CTSO stands for Career and Technical Student Organization. On October 28, FBLA, FCCLA and FFA members will meet at the Ag building at 6:30 p.m to come together to trick-or-treat throughout the Marysville community for non-perishable food and personal care items for the Marshall County Helping Hands Food Pantry. The MJSHS CTSO's thank our wonderful community in advance for your support of our joint community service project!  

COUNSELOR:   

FASFA presentation with Ray Kruse will be on Oct. 30th at 7:00p.m . in the Media Center. 

 

Career Exploration Day will be Nov. 14th: 

Seniors will participate in Senior Mock Interviews

Juniors will attend the Career Fair in Centralia

7-10 will be participating in various career exploration activities.

Looking for a job???  Marysville Country Club is looking to hire wait staff!!

  

The Marysville ACT will be Oct. 26th.  Students will need to bring pencils, a calculator and an admission ticket.  

 

High School Seniors may participate in the 2019-2020 Rural Voices Youth Contest.  Deadline is December 2, 2019.

 

Schedules for Spring CNA classes are in Ms. Busch's and Mrs. Behren's Offices.

 

Students that are taking College Algebra in the Spring and do not have a qualifying score (ACT 21) will need to schedule an Asset test with Ms. Busch

Post-Secondary:

October is Bully Prevention Month.  We are privileged to have Chris “Shoof” with us for Bully Prevention assemblies and activities at Marysville Jr/Sr High School on Oct. 22.

 

Chris "Shoof" Scheufele is a Social Skills Educator/Bullying Expert/Speaker/Author

He has worked as an educator for ten years and Chris is also a professional stand-up comedian.  

 7th/8th grade will have an assembly during JH AEP (1st hour) and 9th-12th will have an assembly during HS AEP (2nd hour).  Teachers should sit with their students.  

Post-Secondary:

 

North Central Kansas Technical College (NCK Tech), which is located in Beloit will have a representative at our school Oct. 23 in the Media Center, 2nd hour.  Please plan on attending if you would like additional information about the degrees that they offer.  

 

Continue to reach out to Mrs. Behrens if you would like college visits set up.

 

Monday (Oct. 21) during AEP all seniors, and AEP teachers, should report the Media center after checking in so that Ms. Busch and Mrs. Behrens can talk to you about scholarships and FAFSA.  

 

Freshmen: Oct. 23 please check into your AEP and then report to the Media Center to fill out the demographic portion for the Pre-ACT.  Please bring a #2 pencil. There will not be second chance breakfast.  

 

Freshmen:  You will be taking the Pre-ACT on Oct. 30.  You need to report to the old gym after you check in with your first hour teacher.  You will need a #2 pencil and a calculator.

Community in Schools:

Mrs.Crome will have a table at parent teacher conferences next week with information on vaping/juuling, how to keep kids safe online and free & reduced lunch forms. Stop by and visit…..
