The vision of MCSEC is to ensure every student with exceptional needs thrives through personalized support, inclusive opportunities, and trusted partnerships with families, schools, and communities.  

Our mission is to empower students with disabilities to succeed by equipping educators in Marysville and Valley Heights with the professional development, resources, and support needed to create inclusive and effective learning environments. 

Marshall County Special Education Cooperative (MCSEC) provides comprehensive special educational services and programs that support the member districts and their schools in their school improvement efforts. MCSEC is comprised of two school districts: 

USD 364 Marysville

USD498 Valley Heights.

What is a cooperative?

The purpose of a cooperative is to share skills, talents, and knowledge amongst professionals. This effort is to ensure compliance with all Special Education laws, share educational resources for educators and students, and provide collaboration and teaming for educators in their specialized role.
