Mr. Jim Howard is currently the superintendent/PREK-6 principal for USD 412-Hoxie Community Schools and a graduate of Hiawatha High School.  Jim received a B.A. in Elementary Education from Bethany College, a M.S. in Educational Administration from Emporia State University, a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Emporia State University and a district-level certification from Emporia State University.  Jim is currently working towards an Ed.d in educational leadership.  He taught was a 4th and 5th grade school teacher and high school coach at Sharon Springs and Kingman for 4 years and is now in his 12th year of educational administration.  His administrative experiences include PREK-8th grade principal at Copeland Schools, district athletic-activity-transportation-communications director at Doniphan West and middle school principal at Scott City.  He is currently in his fourth year as superintendent of schools for USD 412-Hoxie.  In his free time Jim enjoys remolding old houses and spending time with his family and friends.
