One of your High Schools is being recognized as a 2022 APPLY Kansas All Star High School! Sponsored by the APPLY Kansas Campaign, a statewide program sponsored by the Kansas Board of Regents, the awards will be announced next week at the June Kansas Board of Regents Meeting. You are invited to view the award presentation via Livestream on Thursday, June 16. The meeting will begin at 8:30 am. The All Star award presentation is toward the end of the morning’s agenda, likely not before 11:00 am. Here is a link to the KBOR meeting agenda and Livestream Link.

This year we are recognizing 54 All Star High Schools from communities all across Kansas. I’ve attached a list of this year’s recipients. Each school participated in the APPLY Kansas campaign, sponsoring a college application event in October last fall. These schools all chose to continue their post-secondary planning efforts with two more events in the same school year. Your school sponsored a FAFSA Completion event to encourage and support families in completing the FAFSA financial aid application and then held a College Signing Day event to celebrate all of the different paths your seniors chose to pursue after graduation. Here is a quick 2-minute video from some of your counselors discussing why they decided to be an All Star school and how these activities impact the students in their community:

Each All Star School will receive a certificate and a vinyl banner in recognition of this accomplishment. I appreciate your support of these post-secondary planning activities in your school. Truly you have an All Star High School and talented All Star faculty!
